The Grupo de Estudio Internacional “Piratería de la Edad Moderna Temprana” is an international collective of scholars whose research addresses the intersections between maritime piracy and the history and culture of Latin America in the fifteenth through nineteenth centuries. We seek to create dialogue among researchers who work from different disciplinary perspectives and who employ diverse methodologies, and invite participation by scholars at all levels, including graduate students.
